ScanAps has developed complete coupon redemption and clearing solution for big box retailers, including supermarkets, pharmaceuticals and convenience stores. ScanAps proprietary, patented and patent pending,
'Coupon Redemption Engine’ enables all retailers, with or without loyalty program, to electronically redeem all paper, online and mobile coupons from all technology vendors and platforms in real time at checkout.

Differentiation: The primary difference between ScanAps and most of the technologies in the coupon space (including companies like Groupon, Living Social, Coupons.com, Redplum, Valassis, Cell Fire etc.), is this: These companies specialize in targeted delivery of coupons and vouchers to consumers online or through cell phones based on location, consumer profiles or industry segments. We specialize in redeeming and clearing Consumer Packaged Goods Manufacturers (CPGM) paper, online and mobile coupons electronically at checkout.

When a consumer presents a manufacturers’ paper coupon to cashier at checkout, the cashier scans the paper coupon and puts them in the cash drawer. At the end of the day/week, these paper coupons are bundled and shipped to Mexico for clearing and settlement. Paper coupons are the only cash instruments still cleared manually today. ScanAps ECC software captures complete coupon redemption details in real time at checkout and eliminates the need for manual paper coupon clearing process in the back end.
